Got in a 28 minute walk in the living room, it may have looked silly but its cold and wet out there!

I'm still reading "The Help" but it feels less like reading and more like slogging through it. Its ok but I expected it to be great.

Today is National Human Trafficking Day and since I'm a member of our task force I had to be at our awareness training all day. I did learn some new things and unfortunately we have had 6 cases in the Huntsville area recently. Low numbers but if there's one their will be more.

Found out AL is one of the few states that still allows the arrest of underage prostitutes. (underage being 15 and younger) Looks like I have a new cause. Wonder just how much postcards to Congressmen will be.

  1. I'm also reading "The Help" right now. I'm about half through. I like it a lot, but it IS getting slower.

  2. I like it I'm just not as impressed as others seem to be. It is very well written which is nice.

    1. That's how I felt about Hunger Games. It's like, Yeah, it's good, but it's not the most amazing book in the history of the world.

    2. I see how much Hunger Games has been built up. When I read it I didn't know much about it and for whatever reason I latched on the Katniss.

How you read "Bossy Pants" or "Cinderella Ate my Daughter"? There on my list I was wondering if they're good.

    3. I read Bossypants and didn't like it that much. I've never seen SNL or 30 Rock and don't really know things about Tina Fey, though. I'm sure that made a difference. I haven't heard of the other book.
